Aleris Ögon Uppsala is a well-functioning and modern eye clinic in new, fresh premises with a dedicated and experienced team. We provide comprehensive ophthalmic care with high medical quality and always put the patient first.

With us, experienced ophthalmologists work with complementary competencies in areas such as cataract, glaucoma, and retina, including medical treatments. We have modern technical equipment and efficient patient flows that create good conditions for qualitative and sustainable work.

The clinic is characterized by a good atmosphere, close collaboration, and short decision-making paths. You will be supported by competent nursing assistants, optometrists, ophthalmic nurses, and administrative staff who contribute to a well-functioning reception and surgical work.

We are now looking for a competent and committed colleague who is a specialist in ophthalmology to join our reception and who wants to help develop the business together with us.

The Role

As an ophthalmologist at Aleris Ögon Uppsala, you will work in specialized outpatient ophthalmology with a broad reception workload. You will be responsible for the investigation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with various eye diseases.

The work also includes referral assessments, documentation, and quality assurance according to current guidelines. You will work independently but in close collaboration with a multiprofessional team consisting of ophthalmologists, optometrists, ophthalmic nurses, nursing assistants, and administrative staff. The patient flows are well-organized and create good conditions for an efficient and sustainable working method.

About You

Requirements:

  • Licensed physician with specialist competence in ophthalmology

  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

  • Experience of independent outpatient work in ophthalmic care

Meritorious:

  • Experience of working in private care or care choice

  • Particular interest or specialization in areas such as retina or glaucoma
